Aruba - Jan. 14, 2025 - The Departament di Salud Publico di Aruba (DVG) stresses the importance of checking AH brand frozen blueberries (1 kg packages) for possible contamination with the hepatitis A virus. Anyone in possession of this product is urged to carefully follow the instructions in this recall.

  • Check the expiration date on the package:
    • Dates followed: Between April 2025 and April 2026.
  • Do you have this product?
    • Consume it NOT.
    • Return the product to the store where it was purchased, such as Ling & Sons in Aruba, to receive a full refund.
  • Can the product not be returned?
    • Dispose of it immediately to avoid health risks.

Actions by Ling & Sons

Ling & Sons has already removed all batches with the stated expiration dates from shelves and freezers and is working with relevant agencies to prevent further spread of the contaminated product. Management has also been instructed to check warehouse stocks and destroy them if necessary.
