With the Dec. 6 elections just around the corner, voters now have access to an innovative tool: the Political Matchmaker. This voting tool helps voters discover which political party has the same priorities as what they think is important for the future of Aruba.

The tool is designed to give voters insight into the parties' programs and match them with the party that best matches their vision of what Aruba needs right now.

How does the Matchmaker work?

The Matchmaker focuses on 15 key themes that are central to the election:

  1. Economic policy
  2. Education
  3. Healthcare
  4. Sustainability and environment
  5. Housing and infrastructure
  6. Social justice
  7. Transparency in government
  8. Labor market and employment
  9. Culture and community development
  10. Fiscal responsibility
  11. Justice and security
  12. Technology and innovation
  13. Public transportation and urban planning
  14. Tourism
  15. Youth and elderly care

Voters answer questions on these topics, and the tool compares their answers to the political parties' priorities, as described in their official programs.

This Matchmaker uses the official programs of 10 political parties, including:

  • MEP
  • AVP
  • RAIZ
  • MAS
  • A21
  • ReD

Unfortunately could CURPA are not included because they did not submit a program.
