Het werk werd uitgevoerd in samenwerking met ACE Engineering, ACF, DOW en ALBO en maakt deel uit van een project voor de vernieuwing van palapa\u2019s en zitbanken.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens ATA zijn in het gebied zes banken vervangen. Daarnaast hebben elf bestaande betonnen banken onderhoud gekregen.<\/p>\n<p>Met het project wil ATA de openbare veiligheid verbeteren en het verblijf van bezoekers aan de stranden aangenamer maken. De organisatie wijst erop dat Boca Catalina en Malmok intensief worden gebruikt, vooral in de namiddag, wanneer veel mensen samenkomen om van de zonsondergang te genieten.<\/p>\n<p>De nieuwe banken moeten ervoor zorgen dat meer mensen comfortabel van de kustlocatie gebruik kunnen maken. Voor het project is ook een onderhoudsplan op lange termijn opgesteld, zodat de voorzieningen in goede staat blijven voor publiek gebruik.<\/p>\n<p>ATA stelt dat de werkzaamheden passen binnen de bredere inzet om de natuurlijke kustgebieden van Aruba te beschermen en een verantwoord gebruik van openbare ruimtes te stimuleren.<\/p>\n<p>Verder meldt de organisatie dat bij Mangel Halto inmiddels fase 2 van het project in uitvoering is. Daar worden nieuwe palapa\u2019s geplaatst.
