De bijeenkomst was bedoeld om hen te informeren over het werk van de politie, de geldende procedures en wetgeving, de toelatingseisen en opleidingsmogelijkheden, maar ook over de veranderingen die het politiewerk met zich meebrengt voor het dagelijks leven.<\/p>\n<p>De presentatie werd verzorgd door docenten van de Politieschool E.J. Watty Vos. In een volledig gevuld lokaal kregen de aanwezige jongeren uitgebreide uitleg over verschillende aspecten van het beroep en de voorbereiding op een mogelijke sollicitatie.<\/p>\n<p>Na het informatieve deel volgde een demonstratie van de canine eenheid en de gemotoriseerde eenheid van het Korps Politie Aruba. Volgens de organisatie was er sprake van een goede opkomst en een positieve ontvangst in Oranjestad.<\/p>\n<p>Vanavond is het korps opnieuw aanwezig voor een informatiebijeenkomst, ditmaal op de Abraham de Veer School in San Nicolas. De bijeenkomst begint om 18.30 uur.<\/p>\n<p>Het Korps Politie Aruba roept ge\u00efnteresseerde jongeren op om de bijeenkomst bij te wonen, informatie in te winnen en vragen te stellen, zodat zij zich in de toekomst goed kunnen voorbereiden op een aanvraag om hun land te dienen als politieagent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bij La Salle College in Oranjestad vond
