ORANJESTAD \u2013 Leden van de vaste commissie voor overheidsbedrijven en nutsvoorzieningen (CONVNBE) van het parlement hebben vrijdag 13 juni een informatiebezoek gebracht aan WEB Aruba. De commissie stond onder leiding van parlementari\u00ebr Clifford Heyliger.<\/p>\n

Tijdens het bezoek kreeg de delegatie van het management en de technische staf van WEB een uitgebreide presentatie over de rol van het nutsbedrijf binnen de nationale infrastructuur. Daarbij kwamen onder meer de duurzame productie van water en energie, innovatie en operationele effici\u00ebntie, het in stand houden van tarieven in balans met toegankelijkheid en duurzaamheid, de capaciteit en stabiliteit van het netwerk en de milieueffecten aan bod.<\/p>\n

Na de presentatie volgde een educatieve rondleiding langs de installaties voor de productie van water en energie. De commissieleden kregen daarbij van dichtbij uitleg over de processen en technologie\u00ebn die de dagelijkse voorziening op Aruba ondersteunen.<\/p>\n

Volgens Heyliger werd tijdens het bezoek het belang onderstreept van een betrouwbare en duurzame levering van water en energie. Hij sprak waardering uit voor de transparantie van WEB en noemde het bezoek een belangrijke stap om de relatie tussen het parlement en de nutssector te versterken, zodat toekomstige besluiten kunnen worden genomen op basis van kennis en dialoog.<\/p>\n

Het bezoek vond plaats in het kader van de informatievoorziening aan de commissie over de ontwikkeling en uitdagingen binnen de nutssector op Aruba.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
