ORANJESTAD \u2014 De negentiende editie van de Aruba Bank Walk & Run is afgerond met een donatie aan YMCA Aruba. Volgens Aruba Bank deden gedurende vier dagen in totaal 2600 deelnemers mee aan het wandel- en loopevenement.<\/p>\n

De deelnemers legden samen verschillende routes af van in totaal meer dan 20 kilometer. Een deel van de opbrengst uit de inschrijvingen wordt jaarlijks door de bank bestemd voor een lokale organisatie die een bijdrage levert aan de gemeenschap. Voor 2025 is YMCA Aruba als ontvanger van de donatie aangewezen.<\/p>\n

YMCA Aruba verzorgt onder meer een naschools programma voor kinderen. Daarbij wordt een veilige en educatieve omgeving geboden waar kinderen hun talenten kunnen ontwikkelen, huiswerk kunnen maken en kunnen deelnemen aan sportieve en creatieve activiteiten, terwijl ouders aan het werk zijn.<\/p>\n

Edseline Leer, Head of Retail Banking, en Roxanne Croes, Senior Marketing Officer van Aruba Bank, brachten een bezoek aan YMCA Aruba om de donatie officieel te overhandigen. Directeur Jennifer Caminata en Byanca Alvarado namen de bijdrage namens de organisatie in ontvangst.<\/p>\n

Volgens Caminata zal de donatie worden ingezet ter versterking van het vakantieprogramma dat YMCA Aruba voorbereidt. Zij sprak daarbij haar waardering uit voor zowel de financi\u00eble steun als de erkenning van het belang van investeringen in de ontwikkeling van kinderen.<\/p>\n

Aruba Bank laat weten trots te zijn op de mogelijkheid om het werk van YMCA Aruba te ondersteunen en zegt zich te blijven inzetten voor het welzijn van de Arubaanse gemeenschap.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
