ORANJESTAD \u2013 De nationale enqu\u00eate \u2018Kico Nos ta Come?\u2019<\/em> wordt voortgezet tot en met 30 juni 2025. Dat laat Departamento di Salud Publico (DVG) weten. Het onderzoek, dat op 24 maart van start ging, wordt uitgevoerd in samenwerking met IBISA, het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS) en WEB Aruba N.V.<\/p>\n

Volgens DVG hebben tot en met dinsdag 13 mei in totaal 213 inwoners het volledige onderzoek afgerond. Daarmee is 35 procent van de beoogde doelgroep van 600 burgers bereikt. De dienst spreekt haar waardering uit voor de deelnemers vanwege hun tijd en bijdrage aan de verbetering van de volksgezondheid.<\/p>\n

Met het onderzoek willen de betrokken instanties wetenschappelijke informatie verzamelen over de producten en voedingsmiddelen die op Aruba het meest worden geconsumeerd. In de komende weken zullen enqu\u00eateurs langsgaan bij de geselecteerde huishoudens om de dataverzameling voort te zetten.<\/p>\n

Het onderzoek bestaat uit twee onderdelen: een voedselconsumptie-enqu\u00eate en een laboratoriumonderzoek naar de chemische samenstelling van voedingsmiddelen.<\/p>\n

Volgens DVG is het onderzoek om meerdere redenen van belang. In de eerste plaats moet het bijdragen aan de voedselveiligheid op Aruba. Door systematisch in kaart te brengen welke stoffen via voeding worden ingenomen, kunnen mogelijke risico\u2019s tijdig worden gesignaleerd en kan beleid waar nodig worden aangepast.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast levert de studie waardevolle informatie op voor beleidsmakers en de voedingsmiddelenindustrie. De resultaten moeten helpen bij het nemen van onderbouwde beslissingen over voedselveiligheid en productie.<\/p>\n

Ook voor consumenten heeft het onderzoek volgens DVG meerwaarde. Meer inzicht in de samenstelling van voedsel kan bijdragen aan bewustere keuzes op het gebied van gezondheid en welzijn.<\/p>\n
