Verschillende technologie- en retailbedrijven lieten dinsdag stevige koersstijgingen zien op de aandelenmarkt, gedreven door sterke kwartaalcijfers en optimistische vooruitzichten.<\/p>\n
Victoria’s Secret zag zijn aandelen flink oplopen nadat het lingeriebedrijf indrukwekkende resultaten presenteerde over het eerste kwartaal. Zowel de winstcijfers als de netto-omzet overtroffen de verwachtingen van analisten ruimschoots. Opvallend was dat het gecorrigeerde operationele inkomen bijna het dubbele bedroeg van wat de markt had voorzien. Op basis van deze sterke prestaties heeft het management ook de jaarlijkse prognoses naar boven bijgesteld. Het bedrijf handelt momenteel onder het beurssymbool VSXY.<\/p>\n
Ook Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) deed het goed op de beurs. Het technologieconcern profiteert volop van de explosief groeiende vraag naar servers en netwerkapparatuur die worden ingezet voor kunstmatige intelligentie. HPE presenteerde een omzetverwachting voor het volledige jaar die hoger uitkwam dan waar beleggers op hadden gerekend, wat de koers in de vroege handel een duidelijke impuls gaf.<\/p>\n
Tot slot steeg Marvell Technology fors in waarde, nadat Jensen Huang, topman van chipgigant Nvidia, tijdens de Computex-beurs in Taipei een opvallende uitspraak deed. Huang voorspelde dat Marvell op termijn een beurswaarde van \u00e9\u00e9n biljoen dollar zal bereiken. Hij koppelde deze verwachting aan de opkomst van wat hij omschreef als ‘nuttige kunstmatige intelligentie’.
