In totaal werden zes finalisten geselecteerd, maar slechts \u00e9\u00e9n project ging er uiteindelijk met de hoofdprijs vandoor.<\/p>\n<p>De grote winnaar is de coproductie &#8216;We Won&#8217;t Let the Goat Die&#8217;, in het Spaans bekend als &#8216;No dejaremos que muera la cabra&#8217;. Het project is een samenwerking tussen Costa Rica, Peru en Panama. De film wordt geproduceerd door Nicolas Wong, een cameraman die eerder betrokken was bij bekende producties als &#8216;La Llorona&#8217; en &#8216;Love is the Monster&#8217;. Wong staat ook bekend als een talent om in de gaten te houden, aldus het vakblad Variety.<\/p>\n<p>De hoofdprijs werd uitgereikt door Baby At\u00f3mica, een van de vaste partners van Fantastic Lab. Het initiatief richt zich op het ondersteunen en stimuleren van filmtalent uit Midden-Amerika en het Cara\u00efbisch gebied, een regio die internationaal nog relatief ondervertegenwoordigd is in de filmindustrie.<\/p>\n<p>Fantastic Lab Central America &#038; Caribbean is een platform dat zich inzet voor de ontwikkeling van fantastische cinema uit de regio.
