{"id":14239,"date":"2026-03-26T21:56:21","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T01:56:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=14239"},"modified":"2026-04-25T19:01:05","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T23:01:05","slug":"mep-vraagt-opheldering-over-benoeming-bij-web","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=14239","title":{"rendered":"MEP vraagt opheldering over benoeming bij WEB"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ORANJESTAD<\/strong> \u2014 De fractie van Movimiento Electoral di Pueblo (MEP) in het parlement heeft vragen ingediend over de recente benoeming van een nieuwe directeur bij Water- en Energiebedrijf Aruba (WEB).<\/p>\n<p>In de vragen aan de minister die verantwoordelijk is voor energie vraagt MEP om verduidelijking over de vraag of de benoeming heeft plaatsgevonden volgens de geldende regels van good corporate governance voor overheidsbedrijven.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens die uitgangspunten moeten functies op dit niveau via een openbare sollicitatieprocedure worden ingevuld, zodat transparantie, gelijke kansen en de selectie van de best gekwalificeerde kandidaat gewaarborgd zijn.<\/p>\n<p>MEP stelt dat de regels van good corporate governance van groot belang zijn voor een transparant en verantwoord beheer van publieke bedrijven. Bedrijven zoals WEB zijn eigendom van de Arubaanse gemeenschap, aldus de fractie, en daarom moeten benoemingsprocedures duidelijk, transparant en gebaseerd op kwalificaties en verdiensten zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Met de vragen wil de fractie duidelijkheid krijgen over de vraag of een correcte openbare procedure is gevolgd, wanneer die heeft plaatsgevonden, welke functie-eisen golden en hoeveel andere kandidaten op de functie hebben gesolliciteerd.<\/p>\n<p>MEP benadrukt dat naleving van de beginselen van good corporate governance essentieel is om het vertrouwen van de bevolking in de overheid en in het bestuur van overheidsbedrijven te behouden.
