NOORD \u2014 Tijdens een protocollaire ceremonie in de ballroom van Double Down aan de J.E. Irausquin Boulevard zijn donderdagmorgen 29 politiestudenten be\u00ebdigd. Ook kregen 14 politieagenten hun diploma uitgereikt na het succesvol afronden van een leiderschapsopleiding.<\/p>\n

Bij de bijeenkomst waren onder anderen minister van Justitie, Integratie en Openbaar Vervoer Arthur Dowers, korpschef drs. Ramon Arnhem, hoofd van de Politieschool Sherina Arrindell, familieleden en collega\u2019s aanwezig.<\/p>\n

Volgens het Korps Politie Aruba legden de 29 studenten van de MBO-4 lichting 2024-2025 na ongeveer een jaar van fysieke training en theorielessen, waaronder kennis van wetgeving, de eed af. De be\u00ebdiging vormt het eerste deel van hun opleiding en maakt het mogelijk om de stage op straat te beginnen. De volledige politieopleiding duurt vier jaar en omvat verschillende toetsen en examens.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast rondden 14 politieagenten met succes een leiderschapsopleiding af. Na het behalen van diverse praktijk- en theorieonderdelen zijn zij voorbereid op nieuwe leidinggevende taken binnen de organisatie, aldus het korps.<\/p>\n

Minister Dowers benadrukte tijdens de ceremonie het belang van verdere versterking van het politiekorps. Volgens hem zorgen meer mensen en extra inzet voor meer ogen en handen ten behoeve van de veiligheid van de bevolking. Hij sprak het vertrouwen uit dat de nieuwe lichting onder goede begeleiding tot goede resultaten zal komen.<\/p>\n

Korpschef Arnhem wees in zijn toespraak op het belang van integriteit, respect en het naleven van normen en waarden binnen het politiewerk. Hij feliciteerde zowel de be\u00ebdigde studenten als de agenten die hun diploma ontvingen met hun behaalde resultaat.<\/p>\n

Het Korps Politie Aruba sprak ook waardering uit voor de steun van familieleden van de studenten en agenten. Volgens het korps was hun ondersteuning van groot belang bij het bereiken van deze mijlpaal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
