ORANJESTAD \u2014 Schrijfster Desiree Correa heeft vorige week in de Biblioteca Nacional Aruba haar literaire werk Toi Toi Toi<\/em> gepresenteerd. Het boek bevat verschillende korte toneelstukken in het Papiaments, waaronder eigen teksten van Correa en stukken die door haar zijn vertaald en bewerkt.<\/p>\n

Volgens de bibliotheek omvat de uitgave in totaal twintig toneelwerken. Het merendeel daarvan werd eerder door Correa opgevoerd in Cas di Cultura. Voor jonge kinderen zijn er ook stukken opgenomen die geschikt zijn voor poppentheater.<\/p>\n

Maandagmiddag verzorgde Correa daarnaast een poppenkastpresentatie in de bibliotheek voor een groep kinderen en hun begeleiders. De voorstelling verliep in een levendige en vrolijke sfeer, met enthousiaste interactie van het aanwezige publiek.<\/p>\n

De titel Toi Toi Toi<\/em> verwijst naar een begroeting die acteurs elkaar geven om elkaar succes te wensen voor een optreden op het toneel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
