ORANJESTAD \u2014 Het Comit\u00e9 Olimpico Arubano (COA) heeft onlangs overleg gevoerd met BDO Aruba in het kader van het financi\u00eble verslag over 2025, alsook het beheer en de governance van de organisatie.<\/p>\n

Volgens het COA hecht de organisatie veel waarde aan goed bestuur en degelijk financieel beheer. Die aspecten worden door het comit\u00e9 gezien als essentieel om de aangesloten sportfederaties, die lid zijn van het COA, op een correcte manier te kunnen bedienen. Daarbij hoort ook het naleven van de statuten, waaronder de verplichting om jaarlijks twee algemene vergaderingen te houden. Tijdens de eerste vergadering van het jaar wordt het financieel verslag van het voorgaande jaar gepresenteerd en toegelicht.<\/p>\n

In dat kader vond een bespreking plaats met BDO Aruba, een lokaal bedrijf dat onder meer diensten verleent op het gebied van accountancy, financieel beheer en governance. Voor het COA verzorgt BDO de controle op het financieel beheer en de governance, zoals vereist door het Internationaal Olympisch Comit\u00e9 en volgens lokale standaarden.<\/p>\n

Tijdens de bijeenkomst werd een update gegeven over de voortgang van het financi\u00eble verslag. Volgens het COA is de eerste fase bijna afgerond, waarna het document aan BDO zal worden voorgelegd voor controle.<\/p>\n

Het COA spreekt zijn waardering uit voor de professionele dienstverlening van BDO Aruba. De organisatie stelt dat goed financieel beheer en governance belangrijke pijlers blijven en dat daaraan de nodige aandacht wordt besteed om ook binnen de sportgemeenschap het goede voorbeeld te geven.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
