ORANJESTAD \u2014 De Directie Volksgezondheid Aruba (DVG) heeft officieel een richtlijn gepubliceerd voor de productie en beheersing van geluid in relatie tot de gezondheid van het gehoor. De richtlijn werd op 24 januari 2025 bekendgemaakt in de Landscourant.<\/p>\n

Volgens DVG is gehoorbescherming al jarenlang een belangrijk aandachtspunt. Samen met verschillende stakeholders is de gemeenschap in de afgelopen jaren gewezen op het belang van het beschermen van de oren en het gebruik van oordoppen tijdens muzikale activiteiten.<\/p>\n

Met de carnavalsperiode in volle gang, een seizoen waarin veel muziekactiviteiten plaatsvinden in de open lucht en in binnenruimtes, doet DVG nu ook een nadrukkelijk beroep op geluidsbedrijven, technici, dj\u2019s en organisatoren. Zij worden opgeroepen het geluidsniveau terug te brengen tot een voor het gehoor veilige grens van 85 decibel.<\/p>\n

De dienst benadrukt dat de bescherming van het gehoor niet alleen een verantwoordelijkheid is van bezoekers, die bijvoorbeeld oordoppen kunnen dragen, maar ook van iedereen die betrokken is bij de organisatie en uitvoering van evenementen waar harde muziek wordt geproduceerd.<\/p>\n

Met het aanhouden van een maximum van 85 decibel wil DVG bijdragen aan de bescherming van werknemers, toeschouwers, jongeren, kinderen en ouderen. Volgens de dienst kan zo volop van het carnavalsseizoen worden genoten zonder blijvende gehoorschade op te lopen.<\/p>\n
