ORANJESTAD \u2014 Fundacion Lanta Papiamento (FLP) heeft in samenwerking met het Colombiaanse consulaat een basiscursus Papiamento georganiseerd voor Colombiaanse immigranten op Aruba. De cursus maakte deel uit van het project \u2018Casa de Colombia\u2019, dat is opgezet om de integratie van de Colombiaanse gemeenschap te ondersteunen met verschillende culturele activiteiten.<\/p>\n

Volgens FLP benaderde het Colombiaanse consulaat in juni 2025 vicevoorzitter Carlos Croes met het verzoek om een basiscursus Papiamento op te zetten. FLP stemde daarmee in en belastte twee gecertificeerde docenten met de uitvoering: Melina van der Linden (Bach.Ed.) en Cesar Kelly (MEd.).<\/p>\n

De lessen begonnen op 1 september 2025 en werden afgesloten op 8 december 2025. In totaal slaagden 29 cursisten voor het programma. Volgens de stichting hebben de deelnemers aangegeven belangstelling te hebben om hun kennis van het Papiamento op een hoger niveau voort te zetten.<\/p>\n

De docenten laten weten dat de cursisten gedurende het traject gemotiveerd waren en hun opdrachten zorgvuldig uitvoerden. Waar zij aan het begin nog nauwelijks kennis van het Papiamento hadden, konden zij aan het einde van de cursus volgens FLP eenvoudige gesprekken in begrijpelijk Papiamento voeren.<\/p>\n

Het bestuur van FLP spreekt waardering uit voor de inzet en volharding van de deelnemers en sluit niet uit dat er een vervolgcursus voor deze groep komt. De stichting bedankt het Colombiaanse consulaat voor het gestelde vertrouwen.<\/p>\n

Met het initiatief zegt FLP verder te blijven werken aan haar doelstelling: acceptatie en goed gebruik van het Papiamento in alle geledingen van de samenleving.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
