Dat blijkt uit een persbericht van de Kustwacht Caribisch Gebied.<\/p>\n<p>Het steunpunt van de Kustwacht op Aruba kreeg een melding van de kapitein van het zeilvaartuig <em>White Cloud<\/em>, die aangaf dat zijn boot motorproblemen had. Daarop werd direct een patrouille naar de locatie gestuurd.<\/p>\n<p>Bij aankomst nam de patrouilleboot het zeilvaartuig, met twee personen aan boord, op sleeptouw. Vervolgens werd de boot naar Barcadera gebracht, waar deze veilig kon aanmeren.<\/p>\n<p>De Kustwacht wijst booteigenaren erop hun vaartuigen regelmatig te onderhouden om pech en gevaarlijke situaties op zee te voorkomen. Verder wordt geadviseerd voldoende veiligheids- en reddingsmiddelen aan boord te hebben, zoals zwemvesten, een zaklamp, EHBO-kit, voldoende water, een brandblusser en een VHF-radio of opgeladen mobiele telefoon.<\/p>\n<p>Wie op zee hulp nodig heeft, kan volgens de Kustwacht bellen met noodnummer 913 of een WhatsApp-bericht sturen naar 005999 510 0913.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>De Kustwacht heeft in de nacht van zondag op maandag een zeilvaartuig met twee opvarenden geassisteerd nabij Aruba.
