ORANJESTAD \u2014 De Aruba Timeshare Association (ATSA) heeft onlangs de documentaire Aruba Timeshare Evolution<\/em> gepresenteerd in de Marriott Ocean Club Sales Gallery. Bij de premi\u00e8re waren onder anderen Statenlid Jennifer Arends-Reyes, AHATA-CEO Tisa Lasorte, bestuursleden van ATSA en diverse vertegenwoordigers uit de timesharesector aanwezig.<\/p>\n

Volgens ATSA staat in de documentaire centraal wat Aruba volgens de makers bijzonder maakt: de band die veel timeshare-eigenaren met het eiland hebben en het gevoel van Aruba als een tweede thuis. De organisatie stelt dat juist die verbondenheid aan de basis staat van de ontwikkeling van de sector.<\/p>\n

De productie kwam tot stand in samenwerking met meerdere betrokkenen uit de sector en is bedoeld als eerbetoon aan de pioniers van de timeshare-industrie op Aruba. Daarbij wordt ook stilgestaan bij de bijdrage van de sector aan het toerisme, de economie en de Arubaanse gemeenschap.<\/p>\n

ATSA-voorzitter Sulaika Kelly zei tijdens de presentatie dat het belangrijk is om de eerdere generaties te erkennen, omdat zij de basis hebben gelegd voor de huidige positie van Aruba binnen de timesharebranche. Volgens haar moet de sector tegelijk blijven inspelen op veranderingen in de markt en op de verwachtingen van nieuwe generaties bezoekers.<\/p>\n

Kelly benadrukte dat reizigers tegenwoordig meer waarde hechten aan beleving, duurzaamheid en vernieuwing. Aruba zal zich volgens haar daarom moeten blijven aanpassen en moderniseren om een vooraanstaande positie binnen de gastvrijheidssector te behouden.<\/p>\n

De documentaire werd geproduceerd onder leiding van creatief directeur Tina Bislick, in samenwerking met videograaf Tyler Cavallaro. Voor de film is gebruikgemaakt van archiefmateriaal en interviews met werknemers uit de timesharesector, managers en eigenaren. Ook is een gesprek opgenomen met Raymond Maduro, die wordt gezien als een belangrijke naam binnen de ontwikkeling van timeshare op Aruba.<\/p>\n

In de documentaire wordt belicht hoe de sector heeft bijgedragen aan de groei van Aruba als geliefde bestemming. Ook komt naar voren dat veel timeshare-eigenaren jaarlijks terugkeren naar het eiland vanwege de gastvrijheid, de natuur en de vertrouwde sfeer.<\/p>\n

Na de vertoning kregen de aanwezigen ook Raymond Maduro te horen, die vertelde over de introductie van het timeshareconcept op Aruba. Het lanceringsevenement werd gehost door het managementteam van Marriott Ocean Club, met medewerking van Campeones Cantina voor de catering.<\/p>\n
