In ZEER TROPISCH Art House in San Nicolas wordt op zaterdag 15 november om 19.00 uur de groepstentoonstelling COLECTIVA 2<\/em> geopend. De expositie is samengesteld door curator Nelson Gonz\u00e1lez en brengt acht kunstenaars van verschillende generaties en stijlen samen: Glenda Heyliger, Sharina Gumbs, Elly Refunjol, Kenna Foxford, Lenny Lea, Dimanche-Jolie, Tuesday Irwin en Hugo Parra.<\/p>\n

De tentoonstelling maakt deel uit van het experimentele programma van Art Rap Foundation, dat wordt ontwikkeld vanuit ZEER TROPISCH Art House. Volgens de organisatie vertrekt het project vanuit de gemeenschap van San Nicolas en sluit het aan bij het dagelijks leven, de herinneringen en het gevoelsleven van de wijk.<\/p>\n

COLECTIVA 2<\/em> is voortgekomen uit een tekenclub die de relatie onderzoekt tussen kunst en de barcultuur van San Nicolas. Daarbij is ook aandacht voor de zogeheten barhostesses, die deel uitmaken van het nachtleven van de stad en al langer onderwerp zijn van artistieke documentatie. Zij werden uitgenodigd om als model en gesprekspartner deel te nemen, waarbij observatie, dialoog en artistieke expressie centraal stonden.<\/p>\n

De expositie vormt een vervolg op een eerder project dat was gewijd aan kappers en tattoo-artiesten. Met deze nieuwe editie wil Art Rap Foundation opnieuw lokale praktijken als uitgangspunt nemen om de gemeenschap van binnenuit te activeren. Door nu de barcultuur centraal te stellen, wil de organisatie ruimte bieden voor reflectie op ontmoeting, veerkracht en expressie binnen San Nicolas.<\/p>\n

Volgens de initiatiefnemers is COLECTIVA 2<\/em> in essentie het collectieve resultaat van observatie en een poging om de geest van de plek zichtbaar te maken via eenvoudige tekeningen die menselijke aanwezigheid en interactie vastleggen.<\/p>\n

De opening vindt plaats op zaterdag 15 november om 19.00 uur in ZEER TROPISCH Art House aan de Bernard van de Veen Zeppenfeldstraat 67 in San Nicolas, tegenover Charlie\u2019s Bar. De tentoonstelling is geproduceerd door Art Rap Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
