{"id":12012,"date":"2025-10-28T18:31:37","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T22:31:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=12012"},"modified":"2026-04-24T19:43:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T23:43:25","slug":"aawa-presenteert-cubaanse-gewichthefcoach-yunel-caballero-op-aruba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=12012","title":{"rendered":"AAWA presenteert Cubaanse gewichthefcoach Yunel Caballero op Aruba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ORANJESTAD \u2014 De Aruba Amateur Weightlifting Association (AAWA) heeft de Cubaanse trainer Yunel Caballero officieel gepresenteerd als ontwikkelingscoach voor de gewichthefsport op Aruba.<\/p>\n<p>Vorige week vond een bijeenkomst plaats met de federatie, waarbij AAWA-voorzitter Hugo Themen samen met coach Laertes Araque een bezoek bracht aan Caballero. De trainer verblijft op Aruba in het kader van een regionaal ontwikkelingsproject voor de sport.<\/p>\n<p>Het initiatief wordt geleid door de Pan American Weightlifting Federation (PAWF), onder voorzitterschap van Jose Quiones. Binnen dit project worden ervaren coaches ingezet bij verschillende bonden in het Caribisch gebied om de ontwikkeling van de gewichthefsport te ondersteunen.<\/p>\n<p>Caballero is via dit project naar Aruba gekomen en zal samen met de AAWA werken aan het opsporen en ontwikkelen van talent. Hij blijft twee maanden op het eiland en zal zich in die periode richten op de uitwerking van strategische ontwikkelingsplannen en de structurele ondersteuning van de sport.<\/p>\n<p>Het Arubaans Olympisch Comit\u00e9 (COA) spreekt zijn steun uit voor het project en wenst zowel Caballero als de AAWA veel succes. Volgens het COA is tijdens de bijeenkomst aangegeven dat de organisatie waar mogelijk ondersteuning zal bieden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>De Aruba Amateur Weightlifting
