ORANJESTAD \u2014 Aruba Bank heeft dinsdag bekendgemaakt 100.000 florin te doneren aan Stichting Casa Cuna Progreso (SCCP) voor de aankoop van een nieuwe bus met vijftien zitplaatsen. De schenking maakt deel uit van het zogeheten Legacy Project in verband met het 100-jarig bestaan van de bank.<\/p>\n

Volgens Aruba Bank onderstreept de donatie de blijvende betrokkenheid van de instelling bij het welzijn van de gemeenschap en de ontwikkeling van Aruba. Casa Cuna Progreso biedt zorg, begeleiding en bescherming aan kwetsbare groepen, waaronder baby\u2019s, jonge kinderen, jonge moeders en hun kinderen.<\/p>\n

Betrouwbaar vervoer is volgens de organisatie van groot belang voor de dagelijkse werkzaamheden. De bus zal worden ingezet voor schoolvervoer, medische afspraken, therapie\u00ebn, sociale programma\u2019s en recreatieve activiteiten. Ook moet het voertuig ondersteuning bieden bij sociale re-integratietrajecten.<\/p>\n

Met de bijdrage kan SCCP een moderne en veilige bus aanschaffen, waarmee medewerkers en bewoners meer mobiliteit krijgen en beter toegang houden tot zorg en onderwijs.<\/p>\n

Managing director Sharon Fr\u00e4nkel van Aruba Bank stelt in een toelichting dat het eeuwfeest van de bank een moment is van reflectie en dankbaarheid. Via het Legacy Project wil de bank volgens haar een blijvende en tastbare bijdrage leveren aan de samenleving. Zij noemt het een eer om Casa Cuna Progreso te ondersteunen met een voertuig dat ten dienste zal staan van de kinderen en moeders voor wie de stichting dagelijks zorg draagt.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
