{"id":11831,"date":"2025-10-21T09:28:50","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T13:28:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=11831"},"modified":"2026-04-24T17:14:04","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T21:14:04","slug":"wanda-broeksema-vertegenwoordigt-coa-op-algemene-vergadering-van-canoc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=11831","title":{"rendered":"Wanda Broeksema vertegenwoordigt COA op algemene vergadering van CANOC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ORANJESTAD \u2014 Voorzitter Wanda Broeksema van het Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico Arubano (COA) heeft afgelopen weekend het COA vertegenwoordigd tijdens de algemene vergadering van de Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) in Georgetown, Guyana.<\/p>\n<p>Aan de bijeenkomst namen vertegenwoordigers van negentien landen uit de regio deel. Tijdens de vergadering werd gesproken over de verdere ontwikkeling van de sport in het Caribisch gebied en over samenwerking tussen de nationale olympische comit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p>CANOC-voorzitter Keith Joseph opende de vergadering met woorden van dank aan het Olympisch Comit\u00e9 van Guyana voor de ontvangst en voor de inzet om sport te verbinden aan de sociale en economische ontwikkeling van het land.<\/p>\n<p>Naast de deelnemende Caribische landen was ook het Olympisch Comit\u00e9 van Paraguay aanwezig. Paraguay ondertekende tijdens de bijeenkomst een Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) met CANOC, gericht op samenwerking op het gebied van sportontwikkeling in de regio.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens het COA onderstreept die overeenkomst de gezamenlijke ambitie om het sportbestuur in de regio verder te versterken en de relaties tussen de verschillende nationale olympische comit\u00e9s uit te bouwen.<\/p>\n<p>De inspanningen van CANOC op het gebied van versterking van sport governance en capaciteitsopbouw kregen tijdens de vergadering waardering van Guyana en andere deelnemende landen. Ook werd gewezen op het hoge niveau van samenwerking tussen de aanwezige landen en op de kansen voor kennisuitwisseling binnen de regio.<\/p>\n<p>De bijeenkomst werd door de deelnemers gezien als een belangrijke stap in het verder bevorderen van de sport en de onderlinge samenwerking in het Caribisch gebied.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COA-voorzitter Wanda Broeksema heeft
