ORANJESTAD \u2014 De MEP-fractie heeft schriftelijke vragen ingediend bij de minister van Financi\u00ebn over het financieel beheer rond schoonmaakwerkzaamheden die in verschillende bario\u2019s van Aruba worden uitgevoerd in opdracht van de minister-president.<\/p>\n

Volgens de fractie heeft zij informatie ontvangen dat het Bureau City Inspector, in opdracht van het ministerie van Algemene Zaken en Natuur, niet alleen wordt ingezet voor schoonmaak in de openbare ruimte, maar ook voor het schoonmaken van priv\u00e9terreinen met gebruik van publieke middelen. De partij noemt dat zorgwekkend en vraagt de regering om opheldering.<\/p>\n

MEP stelt daarnaast dat het volledige budget van het Bureau City Inspector voor 2025 al zou zijn uitgeput, terwijl het begrotingsjaar nog niet is afgerond. De fractie wil daarom weten hoe deze uitgaven tot stand zijn gekomen en of daarbij is gehandeld in overeenstemming met de Comptabiliteitsverordening.<\/p>\n

In haar vragen dringt de oppositiepartij aan op nader onderzoek, controle en verantwoording. Ook vraagt zij welke controlemechanismen bestaan om te voorkomen dat publieke middelen oneigenlijk worden gebruikt.<\/p>\n

Volgens de MEP-fractie hebben zowel de Staten als de bevolking recht op duidelijkheid over de besteding van gemeenschapsgeld. De partij hoopt dat de minister van Financi\u00ebn de vragen binnen twee weken zal beantwoorden, zodat toezicht kan worden gehouden op een rechtmatig en integer gebruik van publieke middelen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
