{"id":11670,"date":"2025-10-13T10:36:33","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T14:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=11670"},"modified":"2026-04-24T16:42:28","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T20:42:28","slug":"national-compliance-platform-bespreekt-antidopingbeleid-met-minister-gerlien-croes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=11670","title":{"rendered":"National Compliance Platform bespreekt antidopingbeleid met minister Gerlien Croes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ORANJESTAD \u2014 De commissie van het National Compliance Platform (NCP) heeft vorige week een overleg gehad met minister van Sport Gerlien Croes over het welzijn van de sport en de verdere uitvoering van het antidopingbeleid op Aruba.<\/p>\n<p>Tijdens de bijeenkomst gaf de commissie een toelichting op haar doelstellingen en op de totstandkoming van het platform in het kader van de UNESCO Convention against Doping in Sport. Aruba heeft als land de verantwoordelijkheid om uitvoering te geven aan deze conventie. Op verzoek van UNESCO werd daarom een National Focal Point aangesteld om de vereiste werkzaamheden te co\u00f6rdineren en de oprichting van een National Compliance Platform voor te bereiden.<\/p>\n<p>Bij de vergadering waren alle leden van het NCP aanwezig: Maruska Tromp, secretaris-generaal van de UNESCO National Commission; Corine Cabenda, inspecteur bij de Douane; Dorylee Lopez-Penha, inspecteur-generaal van de Dienst Inspectie Geneesmiddelen; Jo-Anne Croes, docent aan de Universiteit van Aruba; Monica Pimentel, olympisch atlete en voorzitter van de Aruba Athletes Commission; Rodymar Geerman, chef Sportontwikkeling bij IBiSA; en Patrick Werleman, directeur Sports Development van het Arubaans Olympisch Comit\u00e9, voorzitter van ARUNADO en National Public Focal Point.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens de commissie heeft UNESCO Aruba voor 2025 als \u2018compliant\u2019 aangemerkt voor wat betreft de naleving van de conventie. Daarbij zijn wel nog enkele verbeterpunten genoemd. Het NCP heeft zich tegenover de minister gecommitteerd om deze punten de nodige aandacht te geven.<\/p>\n<p>Ook werd het idee besproken om het onderwerp antidoping een plaats te geven binnen het onderwijs op Aruba. Daarmee wil de commissie studenten vroegtijdig informeren en tegelijk meer vrijwilligers aantrekken om het antidopingprogramma te ondersteunen.<\/p>\n<p>Verder is de minister ge\u00efnformeerd over het plan om samen met ARUNADO in 2026 een Anti-Doping Symposium te organiseren.<\/p>\n<p>De commissie van het Anti-Doping Compliance Platform spreekt van een positieve ontwikkeling en zegt bereid te
