ORANJESTAD<\/strong> \u2013 Angeline Flemming, directeur Health and Sustainability van Aruba Airport Authority (AAA), is herkozen in het bestuur van Airport Council International Latin America and Caribbean (ACI-LAC) voor de termijn 2026-2027.<\/p>\n

De verkiezing vond plaats tijdens de jaarlijkse ACI-LAC-conferentie, die van 5 tot en met 8 oktober 2025 werd gehouden in Trinidad en Tobago. Flemming maakte ook in de periode 2024-2025 al deel uit van het bestuur en begint daarmee aan een tweede termijn.<\/p>\n

ACI-LAC ontwikkelt programma\u2019s, normen, beleid en werkwijzen om de professionele standaarden binnen de luchtvaartsector te verhogen. De organisatie vertegenwoordigt meer dan 350 luchthavens in Latijns-Amerika en het Caribisch gebied. Wereldwijd telt ACI meer dan 2.000 aangesloten luchthavens, die samen goed zijn voor 95 procent van het mondiale luchtverkeer.<\/p>\n

Volgens Flemming heeft Aruba Airport Authority de afgelopen twee jaar zijn betrokkenheid binnen ACI-LAC verder uitgebreid. Daarbij nam de luchthaven deel aan commissies op het gebied van milieu, veiligheid, IT en facilitation. Ook volgden medewerkers trainingen, webinars en cursussen. Daarnaast namen verschillende AAA-medewerkers dit jaar deel aan praktijkbezoeken op de luchthaven van M\u00fcnchen, gericht op innovatie, masterplanning en commerci\u00eble ontwikkeling.<\/p>\n

In een toelichting laat Flemming weten vereerd te zijn Aruba opnieuw binnen de organisatie te mogen vertegenwoordigen. Zij benadrukt dat het platform AAA in staat stelt om belangrijke contacten te leggen met andere luchthavens en kennis en expertise uit te wisselen.<\/p>\n

Aruba Airport Authority stelt dat de herverkiezing de positie van Aruba Airport binnen de regionale luchtvaartsector verder versterkt.<\/p>\n

Aruba Airport is een van de drukste luchthavens in het Caribisch gebied. Volgens AAA zijn er 22 luchtvaartmaatschappijen actief op Aruba, goed voor meer dan 2,5 miljoen passagiers per jaar, met verbindingen naar 22 steden en 34 rechtstreekse bestemmingen wereldwijd.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
