ORANJESTAD \u2014 Vijf medewerkers van de afdeling Dienst Warenkeuring en Hygi\u00ebne (DWH) van de Directie Volksgezondheid Aruba hebben een nieuwe stap gezet in hun loopbaan als ambtenaar. Zij volgden van oktober 2021 tot en met mei 2022 de opleiding tot Bijzonder Opsporingsambtenaar (BOA) en hebben die opleiding met succes afgerond.<\/p>\n

Na een evaluatieproces werd op 22 augustus 2025 het offici\u00eble landsbesluit ondertekend waarmee hun benoeming werd toegestaan. De formele be\u00ebdiging vond plaats op 25 september 2025 in aanwezigheid van minister van Justitie Arthur Dowers.<\/p>\n

Met de be\u00ebdiging bevestigden de vijf medewerkers hun inzet om de Arubaanse gemeenschap te dienen en bij te dragen aan de bescherming van de volksgezondheid. Als BOA zijn zij belast met het opsporen van overtredingen, het geven van waarschuwingen en het opmaken van proces-verbaal, wat kan leiden tot een boete.<\/p>\n

Volgens de Directie Volksgezondheid betekent deze stap een versterking van het toezicht en de handhaving binnen de publieke gezondheidszorg op Aruba. De directie en de afdeling Warenkeuring en Hygi\u00ebne spreken hun waardering uit voor de inzet en toewijding van de betrokken medewerkers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
