ORANJESTAD \u2014 Aruba Bank heeft vrijdag bekendgemaakt een donatie van 100.000 Arubaanse florin te doen aan Stichting Kinderhuis Imeldahof. De schenking maakt deel uit van het jubileumprogramma 100 Years Legacy Project<\/em>, in het kader van het 100-jarig bestaan van de bank.<\/p>\n

Volgens Aruba Bank wordt het bedrag gebruikt voor de renovatie van de historische hal van Imeldahof. Die ruimte heeft volgens de bank een belangrijke emotionele en culturele waarde voor de gemeenschap.<\/p>\n

Na de renovatie moet de hal dienstdoen als een moderne multifunctionele ruimte voor onder meer thuisonderwijs en academische verrijking, groepsbijeenkomsten en de ontwikkeling van nieuwe vaardigheden. Ook wordt voorzien in technologische faciliteiten zoals laptops en een projector, naast recreatieve en educatieve activiteiten.<\/p>\n

Stichting Kinderhuis Imeldahof biedt sinds 1954 zorg aan kinderen in kwetsbare situaties en is in de loop der jaren uitgegroeid tot een gespecialiseerd centrum voor begeleiding en bescherming van jeugdigen op Aruba.<\/p>\n

In een toelichting stelt Aruba Bank trots te zijn op de bijdrage aan een instelling die volgens de bank een belangrijke impact heeft op het leven van kinderen. Ook wijst de bank erop dat het erfgoed van Imeldahof deel uitmaakt van de Arubaanse geschiedenis en dat met deze renovatie zowel het verleden wordt behouden als in de toekomst van onderwijs en jeugdontwikkeling wordt ge\u00efnvesteerd.<\/p>\n
