ORANJESTAD \u2014 De fractie van Movimiento Electoral di Pueblo (MEP) in het parlement heeft offici\u00eble vragen gesteld over de dienstreis van minister van Financi\u00ebn Geoffrey Wever naar Nederland, die plaatsvond van 15 tot en met 21 september 2025.<\/p>\n

Volgens de fractie wil zij onder meer inzicht krijgen in het concrete doel van de reis en de voordelen daarvan voor Aruba. Daarnaast vraagt MEP naar de totale kosten, de samenstelling van de delegatie en de rol van de deelnemers.<\/p>\n

Ook vraagt de oppositie om het offici\u00eble programma van de reis, aan welke onderdelen de minister heeft deelgenomen, met welke personen of instanties overleg is gevoerd en welke onderwerpen daarbij zijn besproken. Verder wil de fractie weten of de reis heeft geleid tot afspraken of andere concrete vervolgstappen.<\/p>\n

MEP wijst er daarnaast op dat volgens het geldende bestuursakkoord ministers bij hotelboekingen drie offertes moeten opvragen, waarbij in beginsel voor de goedkoopste optie moet worden gekozen. De fractie heeft de minister daarom verzocht deze drie offertes en de uiteindelijke keuze te overleggen.<\/p>\n

Volgens MEP zijn transparantie in de besteding van publieke middelen en duidelijkheid over offici\u00eble reizen van belang om het vertrouwen van de bevolking in het bestuur te behouden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
