ORANJESTAD<\/strong> \u2014 Het Wente Vineyards & Arion Wine Company Charity Golf Tournament beleeft dit weekend zijn zeventiende editie. Het toernooi start zaterdag 27 september 2025 om 12.00 uur met een shotgun start op de golfbaan van Tierra del Sol.<\/p>\n

Op de avond voorafgaand aan het toernooi worden sponsors en deelnemers ontvangen bij Look-Out Point, tussen hole 9 en 10 van de baan. Daar verzorgt Eric Wente, wijnbouwer van de vierde generatie en chairman emeritus van het familiebedrijf Wente Vineyards, een welkomstreceptie met een selectie van de wijnen van het wijnhuis.<\/p>\n

Tijdens die bijeenkomst bedankt Wente persoonlijk de sponsors en golfers voor hun steun aan het charitatieve evenement. De opbrengst van het toernooi gaat dit jaar naar Plan di Mayor<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Volgens managing director Govert van der Hout organiseert Arion Wine Company het golftoernooi al sinds de oprichting van het bedrijf, nu zeventien jaar geleden. Arion is op Aruba vertegenwoordiger van Wente Vineyards en voert het volledige assortiment, inclusief nieuwe introducties.<\/p>\n

Golfprofessional James Kiley zal vooraf de spelregels toelichten. Het toernooi wordt gespeeld in een scramble-format met teams van twee spelers. Na afloop volgt later op de dag een prijsuitreiking, gecombineerd met een wijnreceptie en buffet.<\/p>\n

Eric Wente speelt zelf mee op de 18-holesbaan en reikt tijdens het sunset award banquet de prijzen uit aan de winnaars.<\/p>\n

De hoofdprijs voor de spelers van het winnende team is een reis naar Californi\u00eb, inclusief een golfronde bij Wente Vineyards. De tweede prijs bestaat uit een diner voor twee bij restaurant Papiamento, gecombineerd met een fles Wente-wijn. De derde prijs is een geschenkdoos met drie wijnen: Riva Ranch Chardonnay, Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon en Angels Ink Pinot Noir.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast zijn er nevenprijzen voor onder meer Closest to the Pin<\/em>, Longest Drive<\/em> bij de heren en dames, en een quizwinnaar.<\/p>\n

De organisatie spreekt haar waardering uit voor de sponsors, waaronder Aruba Bank, Builders Windows & Doors, Plus Accountants, ASD, Aruba Aloe, Aruba Airport, Sotheby\u2019s Real Estate, Robertson Fire, Setar, Safecom, Complete Logistics, H&H Fine Wine and Spirits en Happy Insurance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
