Daarbij is ook ruimte voor ontmoetingen met filmmakers, omdat bij verschillende vertoningen een vraag-en-antwoordsessie met de regisseurs op het programma staat.<\/p>\n<p>Als openingsfilm is gekozen voor <em>I Can\u2019t Be Moe<\/em> van de Arubaanse regisseur Rebecca Roos. De documentaire volgt Alice van Romondt, die volgens de festivalorganisatie jarenlang op de achtergrond een drijvende kracht is geweest binnen de culturele en artistieke sector op Aruba. De film, opgenomen in de periode 2020 tot en met 2022, schetst niet alleen een portret van Van Romondt, maar geeft ook een beeld van de kunst- en cultuurwereld op Aruba en in het Nederlands-Caribisch gebied. Na de vertoning is een Q&amp;A met de regisseur gepland.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast openen ook <em>Kingdom of Shorts<\/em> deel 1 en 2 het festival. Dit programma bestaat uit een reeks korte films uit het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden. Ook bij deze vertoningen zullen de regisseurs aanwezig zijn voor een gesprek met het publiek.<\/p>\n<p>De slotfilm van het festival is <em>Kidnapping Inc<\/em> van de Ha\u00eftiaanse regisseur Bruno Mourral. Ook hij zal aanwezig zijn voor een Q&amp;A. De film draait om de ontvoering van de zoon van een rijke presidentskandidaat. Wanneer twee onervaren criminelen, Doc en Zoe, de ontvoerde jongen moeten afleveren bij hun baas, loopt de situatie uit de hand nadat Zoe hem per ongeluk doodschiet.<\/p>\n<p>Daarna raken de twee verwikkeld in een groter complot, wanneer zij Patrick ontmoeten, die sprekend lijkt op de overleden zoon van de kandidaat. Tegen de achtergrond van verhitte verkiezingen en een voetbalwedstrijd tussen Bar\u00e7a en Real ontvouwt zich een politieke samenzwering.<\/p>\n<p>Het volledige festivalprogramma is door de organisatie online beschikbaar gesteld.
