{"id":10899,"date":"2025-09-08T16:33:21","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T20:33:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=10899"},"modified":"2026-04-24T09:10:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T13:10:29","slug":"mep-wil-formeel-standpunt-van-staten-over-behandeling-rijkswet-hofa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amigoearuba.com\/?p=10899","title":{"rendered":"MEP wil formeel standpunt van Staten over behandeling Rijkswet HOFA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ORANJESTAD \u2014 De fractie van Movimiento Electoral di Pueblo (MEP) heeft de voorzitter van de Staten van Aruba verzocht om dringend een formeel standpunt te laten vaststellen over de wijze waarop de regering is omgegaan met het proces rond de Rijkswet Houdbare Overheidsfinanci\u00ebn Aruba (HOFA).<\/p>\n<p>Volgens MEP is het staatsrechtelijk en politiek onaanvaardbaar dat de Staten, als hoogste orgaan van de landsmacht, vooraf niet zijn ge\u00efnformeerd en evenmin bij het proces zijn betrokken. De partij stelt dat hiermee de Staten buitenspel zijn gezet en dat dit de kern van de parlementaire democratie ondermijnt.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast voert MEP aan dat de handelwijze van de regering in strijd is met afspraken die tijdens het Interparlementair Koninkrijksoverleg (IPKO) in 2022 zijn gemaakt. Daarbij zouden transparantie en betrokkenheid van parlementen nadrukkelijk als uitgangspunt zijn vastgelegd.<\/p>\n<p>De oppositiepartij roept de Staten op om nog voor de komende IPKO-bijeenkomst in september een formeel standpunt vast te stellen. Volgens MEP kan de Arubaanse delegatie alleen dan met voldoende legitimiteit deelnemen en namens de bevolking spreken.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>De fractie van MEP heeft de
