Aanleiding is de aanhoudende bezorgdheid over verslavingsproblematiek in de gemeenschap en het uitblijven van antwoorden op eerder gestelde vragen.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens Tjon lijkt het onderwerp onvoldoende prioriteit te krijgen. Hij wijst erop dat in de media recent ook kritiek is geuit op het optreden van de minister op dit dossier. Met de nieuwe reeks vragen wil MEP meer duidelijkheid krijgen over de huidige situatie en over de stappen die het ministerie neemt.<\/p>\n<p>De partij stelt dat de vorige regering de subsidie voor de aanpak van verslavingszorg structureel had verhoogd, maar dat deze steun onder minister Wyatt-Ras abrupt zou zijn stopgezet. Daarnaast verwijt MEP de minister dat zij geen gebruik zou willen maken van aangeboden hulp en in het parlement negatief zou hebben geadviseerd over moties om extra middelen voor verslavingszorg beschikbaar te stellen.<\/p>\n<p>MEP zegt de minister verantwoordelijk te blijven houden voor het tonen van leiderschap en voor structurele investeringen in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg en verslavingszorg.
