ORANJESTAD \u2014 Zeven atleten van Team Aruba hebben vorige week vrijdag een overeenkomst ondertekend voor een olympische beurs voor de periode 2025-2028. Volgens het Arubaans Olympisch Comit\u00e9 (COA) wordt de financi\u00eble ondersteuning beschikbaar gesteld via Olympic Solidarity van het Internationaal Olympisch Comit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Met de beurs kunnen uiteenlopende kosten worden gedekt die samenhangen met training en sportbeoefening. Het doel is de atleten in staat te stellen zich volledig te richten op hun voorbereiding en op kwalificatie voor de Olympische Spelen in Los Angeles in 2028.<\/p>\n

De beurs is toegekend aan Ethan Westera (olympisch windsurfen), Kaj Rozeboom (olympisch windsurfen), Zara Rozeboom (olympisch windsurfen), Mikel Schreuders (zwemmen), Patrick Groters (zwemmen), Chloe Farro (zwemmen) en Maelynn Fradl (taekwondo kyorugi).<\/p>\n

De ondertekening vond plaats terwijl een deel van de sporters op Aruba verblijft en anderen in het buitenland trainen. Het COA stelt dat de zeven atleten deze steun hebben verdiend op basis van hun inzet in de afgelopen jaren en de sportieve resultaten die zij in die periode hebben behaald.<\/p>\n
