De dichter omschreef de boekpresentatie als \u2018een heel mooie ervaring\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Tijdens de bijeenkomst vertelde Gil Barrios over haar ontwikkeling als dichter en over het traject dat leidde tot de uitgave van een eigen po\u00ebziebundel. Ook lichtte zij toe hoe de titel van de bundel tot stand kwam. <em>Miel de abeha<\/em> is een selectie van gedichten die over een periode van meerdere jaren zijn geschreven, in verschillende fasen van haar leven.<\/p>\n<p>De auteur omschrijft de teksten als liefdesgedichten, waarbij liefde in uiteenlopende vormen en gericht op verschillende personen in haar leven centraal staat. De inspiratie voor haar werk haalt zij uit emoties en dagelijkse ervaringen. Volgens Gil Barrios legt zij levenservaringen en gevoelens eerst vast in woorden, waarna deze verder vorm krijgen in haar eigen po\u00ebtische stijl.<\/p>\n<p>De omslag en vormgeving van de publicatie zijn verzorgd door Carla Garcia.<\/p>\n<p>Na afloop van de presentatie overhandigde Gil Barrios vijf exemplaren van <em>Miel de abeha<\/em> aan de Biblioteca Nacional Aruba.<\/p>\n<p>Gil Barrios, die ook de bijnaam \u2018Giraluna\u2019 gebruikt, is een jonge Arubaanse dichter en woont momenteel in Nederland. Zij is werkzaam als docent Engels. Over haar bundel zegt zij dat het gaat om \u2018een verzameling liefde, geschreven in het Papiamento, voor iedereen die weet dat liefde soms taal is\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Wie kennis wil maken met haar po\u00ebzie, kan terecht op de website van Giraluna.
