ORANJESTAD\/ASUNCI\u00d3N \u2014 De pas gekozen vicevoorzitter van het Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico Arubano (COA), Randall van Trigt, is in Asunci\u00f3n, Paraguay, aanwezig rond de ASU2025-spelen. Daar maakt hij kennis met het organisatieteam achter het multisportevenement en met de accommodaties waar de wedstrijden zullen plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n

Volgens het COA worden de ASU2025-spelen een groot evenement van hoog niveau, met deelname van 41 landen en ongeveer 5000 atleten. Rond dergelijke spelen vinden niet alleen sportwedstrijden plaats, maar ook bestuurlijke bijeenkomsten van de verschillende nationale olympische comit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Tijdens deze vergaderingen komen vertegenwoordigers van de nationale comit\u00e9s samen voor overleg binnen de continentale sportorganisatie Panam Sports. Daarbij worden uiteenlopende onderwerpen besproken op het gebied van sportbestuur en planning, evenals thema\u2019s als veilige sport en de rol van sport bij het versterken van de samenleving.<\/p>\n

Voor Van Trigt is het zijn eerste ervaring bij een evenement binnen de olympische cyclus. Vanuit Asunci\u00f3n heeft hij kennisgemaakt met de organisatie achter de spelen en met de faciliteiten die voor ASU2025 worden ingezet.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast vond woensdag de tweede Chef de Mission-vergadering plaats, waarbij de leiders van de 41 verschillende delegaties bijeenkwamen om belangrijke informatie en updates over ASU2025 te ontvangen. Namens Aruba waren Chef de Mission Juan Dake en technisch directeur van het COA Monica Fajardo aanwezig.<\/p>\n

Zij werken aan de laatste voorbereidingen voor de aankomst van de eerste Arubaanse atleten in Asunci\u00f3n, die volgens het COA binnen enkele dagen wordt verwacht.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
